Thomas A. Bensinger, M.D., F.A.C.P.

A graduate of Georgetown University and George Washington School of Medicine, Dr. Bensinger completed internship and fellowship in hematology at Duke University Medical Center.  He completed residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and a fellowship at City of Hope National Medical Center, Duarte, California.   Dr. Bensinger is board certified in internal medicine and hematology.  In 1980 he established Bensinger & Weltz, MD, PA, now Hematology Oncology Consultants, P.A.  Dr. Bensinger is an author on greater than 25 published research papers, active in numerous medical organizations and was recently elected by his peers to fill an executive committee position with the American Society of Hematology.  He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).  He is the President of Hematology Oncology Consultants, P.A.

 

Alida M. Andriollo-Espinoza, M.D.

Prior to joining Hematology Oncology Consultants, P.A. in 2007, Dr. Espinoza practiced Gastroenterology in Caracas, Venezuela.  She came to the United States in 2000 to complete an internship at Louisiana State University followed by a residency in internal medicine at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD.  Dr. Espinoza then completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center.  Dr. Espinoza is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in hematology and oncology.  She is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.  Dr. Espinoza is fluent in Spanish and English.

 

Laura Hostovich, C.R.N.P.

Ms. Hostovich joined Hematology Oncology Consultants, P.A. in 2004 making her the first nurse practitioner to join our team.   She obtained her Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland as well as her Bachelor’s in nursing degree.  Ms. Hostovich also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology/Chemistry from the State University of New York and an Associates Degree in Medical Technology.  She is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Certification.

 

Martin D. Weltz, D.O., F.A.C.P., M.B.A., M.P.H.

Dr. Weltz received his medical degree from University for the Health Sciences School of Medicine in Kansas City.  He completed his internship, residency and fellowship in hematology/oncology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.  Dr. Weltz is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, oncology and hospice and palliative medicine.  In 2002 he obtained a Master’s in Business Administration and in 2003 a Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.  Dr. Weltz is the current medical director for Hospice of the Chesapeake of Prince George’s County.  He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).  He is the Vice President of Hematology Oncology Consultants, P.A.
